Here are four super-fun recipes that use delicious berries from right here in the PNW that you can enjoy any time of day. Stahlbush Island Farms Northwest Berry Blend features just the right mix of strawberries, blackberries and raspberries for any of these recipes. Bonus points for adding colorful straws, edible flowers, or tiny umbrellas!
8 Stahlbush Island Farms Raspberries
4 Stahlbush Island Farms Blackberries
2 oz Cranberry juice
1 oz Apple juice
½ oz Lemon Juice
¼ T. Honey-sugar syrup
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a glass with crushed ice.
11-13 Stahlbush Island Farms Blueberries
½ lime, squeezed
3-4 mint leaves
2 tsp sugar
½ c crushed ice
½ c Club Soda
½ c water
Muddle blueberries and mint until mashed. Add mash to tall glass, followed by sugar and lime juice. Add crushed ice, water, and soda.
Drink Ingredients:
½ mixed berry syrup
3 oz apple cider
3 oz sparkling water
Combine berry syrup and applied cider in a glass. Add ice and top with sparkling water. Stir.
Mixed berry syrup:
12 oz mixture of Stahlbush Island Farms Northwest Berry Blend
¾ c sugar
In a heavy pot, combine frozen berries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until boiling. Reduce to a simmer and cook until berries are soft and the mixture is thick. Strain and cool to room temperature. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks. Use in teas, lemonades, and more.
½ c Stahlbush Island Farms Marionberries, thawed
¼ c sugar
1 c water
½ c lemonade
Juice from 1 lemon
Seltzer
Mint
Add the marionberries to a small saucepan and mash them with a fork or potato masher until broken down into small bits. Add sugar, water, and lemonade. Bring to a simmer on low for 10 minutes. Strain and add the juice from the lemon and refrigerate until cool.
Once cooled, pour the liquid evenly among 4 glasses filled with ice cubes. Add seltzer to fill, and garnish with lemon slices, mint, and extra blackberries of course!
